Our Vision
We envision a time when Brookline’s exemplary extended day programming will be routinely recognized and strongly supported as an integral part of the educational and developmental experience of Brookline Public School students.
Our Mission
The Brookline Extended Day Advisory Council (BEDAC) supports broad accessibility and high quality school-based, after-school programming in Brookline:
- Supporting, and enabling effective communication, cooperation and collaboration among, the eight, independent extended day programs at Brookline’s eight k-8 schools.
- Addressing common areas of concern by participating in school-based, school department, school committee and community discussions;
- Undertaking appropriate collective fundraising efforts; and
- Exploring and implementing areas of administrative cooperation which allow the eight programs to operate more effectively or efficiently.
